# What You Need:
→ Pudding
01 - 2 cups whole milk
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 cup cornstarch
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 large egg yolks
06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
07 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
→ Topping
08 - 10 Oreo cookies, crushed
09 - Whipped cream (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan until smooth.
02 - Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
03 - Whisk egg yolks in a small bowl. Gradually add about 1/2 cup of hot milk mixture to yolks while whisking to temper.
04 - Return yolk mixture to saucepan, whisk constantly, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
05 - Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
06 - Pour pudding into serving dishes. Allow to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes or refrigerate for at least 1 hour if preferred chilled.
07 - Sprinkle crushed Oreos on pudding and optionally top with whipped cream before serving.
